Four young divers from Luton Diving Club attended the Talent Games in Leeds, in November, and competed in a combination of dryland and pool based events at this national competition. 65 competitors from 12 clubs took part, with the top ten divers being invited onto the Swim England Team Z programme. Olympian Jack Laugher made a special guest appearance, surprising the divers and showcasing the bronze medal he won at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

All four divers performed fantastically, medaling in every event.

  • Violet Rhodes won the pool and overall competitions in group E, as well as taking Silver in dryland. An impressive feat for her first competition.
  • Joshua Saxton won the boys D dryland event, took bronze in the pool and Silver overall.
  • Kalila McCrickard took Bronze in both pool and dryland, and finished 2nd overall in girls D.
  • Olivia Sykes won dryland, pool and overall in girls C and finished as the highest scoring diver of the entire event.

Violet, Kalila & Olivia won the girls team trophy for the third year in a row. Olivia was subsequently selected for the Zone Squad (Team Z). Congratulations to all four divers!
